Rachel McAdams will be in Doctor Strange with Cumberbatch

Must read

The rumours have been circulating for awhile but it seems it is true – Rachel McAdams will star in Marvel’s Doctor Strange.

This time around, the news came from an unusually direct source, with the actress herself confirming it during a chat with The Wrap at the Toronto International Film Festival.

“I’m gonna go to Doctor Strange, a psychedelic Marvel comic… with Benedict Cumberbatch. So I’m realy looking forward to that!”

Given how secretive Marvel is about all of its annoucements, you can be pretty sure McAdams wasn’t supposed to reveal this on her own. But she has, the words is out there and hopefully the studio bosses won’t put out a hit on the actress.

We don’t yet know who she will be playing but Benedict Cumberbatch is on board as the former doctor who ends up with insane, possibly magical powers and Tilda Swinton is the Ancient One. Which is a role we totally buy her in. Presumably McAdams will be some kind of love interest for Cumberbatch.
Doctor Strange is in cinemas in 2017.
