Several people have been injured in a shooting at a bar in Blacksburg, Virginia, US police said.
Officers in Blacksburg said they responded to reports of shots fired at Melody Hookah Lounge on Main Street.
A number of people were taken to local hospitals, but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
Nearby, Virginia Tech university was placed on lockdown, with students warned on Twitter to stay indoors.
