Snow forces Paris airport to close

Heavy snowfalls have closed Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport and shut down the city’s bus system.

Flights in and out of the airport have been suspended for a number of hours.

Snow quickly turned into a slushy mess in Paris’ streets, halting traffic.

The RATP transport network said all buses in the capital had stopped running, along with many suburban buses.
