An investigation into the deaths of a woman and two children has been launched after their bodies were found inside a house, police have said.
Officers attended an address in Garendon Road in Shepshed, near Loughborough, on Wednesday night following concern from relatives.
Inside they found the bodies of a woman and two children.
Leicestershire Police said they were not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
Formal identification has yet to take place but it is understood that the woman who died was the mother of the two children.
Police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
Post-mortem examinations on the three bodies are due to take place.
