Amazon Global Layoffs Continues

Amazon is laying off 16,000 employees, marking the online retailer’s second round of massive job reductions over the last three months. This latest elimination of 16,000 jobs across its corporate departments, coming after it laid off 14,000 employees last October.

The majority of jobs affected by the latest cuts will be in the US, but the UK operation will see some jobs axed. The company announced that the jobs as part of company-wide organizational changes.

Tech layoffs has seen a huge increase with last year alone seeing over 150,000 job losses.

Here are the prominent tech layoffs in 2025:

2025 layoffs:

• UPS: 48,000
• Amazon: 30,000
• Intel: 24,000
• Nestle: 16,000
• Accenture: 11,000
• Ford: 11,000
• Novo Nordisk: 9,000
• Microsoft: 7,000
• PwC: 5,600
• Salesforce: 4,000
