Ant and Dec have beaten Cheryl Cole in a survey to be named the number one celebrity Brits would like to have as a guest for Christmas dinner.
While the Girls Aloud beauty topped a Hardy’s wine poll to find the star people would most like to pull a cracker with over turkey in the north, fellow Geordies Ant and Dec beat her to the top spot.
Cheryl’s fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell was voted the celebrity Londoners would least like to share their seasonal sprouts with, with just six per cent of the vote, while the rest of the country voted Anne Robinson and Tony Blair their most unwanted personality to have sitting at their Christmas dinner table.
Twitter addict Stephen Fry was voted the nation’s second favourite celebrity to pass the stuffing.
Hit Channel 4 show Come Dine With Me has launched a new iPhone app that allows fans to experience being part of the show without actually appearing on it.
The app claims to help turn users into wine connoisseurs so they can become the perfect dinner party hosts, featuring wine tasting video guides and Hardy’s wine pairing with recipe suggestions.
