Christina Applegate has appeared in a spoof advert for a pre-natal pole dancing DVD while heavily pregnant.
The 39-year-old actress and comedienne – who is due to give birth to her first child in January – stars in the video on comedy website Funnyordie.com as teacher Roxie Fedaro, wearing tiny black hotpants, ripped fishnet tights, and a cropped vest revealing her pregnant belly as she writhes around a pole to raunchy music including Christina Aguilera’s Dirrty.
Christina seductively purrs into the camera: “I can’t see my lady parts any more but I can still show you how I work them.”
Her alter ego Roxie tells viewers: “Many pregnant women experience these things called hormones because you’re like a total fat a**. You don’t feel sexy any more.
“That’s why you need something I like to call ‘seducidence’. That’s seductive confidence, put together.
“Just because you put on an extra 50 pounds does not mean you are not hot. Pregnant pole dancing works because when men see pregnant women they know she’s down for sex.
“When you start pole dancing men can’t handle it and they want to fondle it – that’s trademarked.”
Glee actress Jessalyn Gilsig and Reno 911 star Wendi McLendon Covey also appear in the video as pre-natal pole dancers giving their testimonials about the benefits of the classes.
Addressing the question of whether it is safe for pregnant women to pole dance, ‘Roxie’ reassures them: “So many things are dangerous – driving a car, walking down the street, roller skating, too many jelly babies, staying up late… pole dancing…no not pole dancing… but danger is sexy.”
