Benedict Cumberbatch: Sherlock isn’t over

Must read

Benedict Cumberbatch says sherlock isn’t coming to an end.

The actor, 40, sparked speculation about its future when he said that it felt like the “end of an era”.

But the star has told the Associated Press that the show isn’t about to end.

He said that the series would not be broadcast with the “same regularity”.

“We love doing the show and all I’ll say about it is that we’re all very busy, we’re all doing other things now and you have to see the fourth season to realise why, for now, it’s not going to happen again in the same regularity as it has been happening,” he said.

“But we’ll see, we’ll never say never and when it’s right, and if it’s right, we’ll do more.”

A fourth instalment of the hit BBC drama, starring Benedict as the eponymous detective and Martin Freeman as his sidekick Doctor Watson, is expected to air early next year.
