Blackberry to launch ‘Mercury’ smartphone Feb 25

Must read

BlackBerry and TCL will launch their new ‘Mercury’ smartphone on Feb 25, right before this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, as reported in an article from Engadget.

The keyboard-fitted smartphone is rumoured to run on Android and is expected to feature an 18-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera, with a Snapdragon 625 processor and 3GB of RAM.

There’s no word on the price of the ‘Mercury’, or its final name, but sources suggest the device will be closer in price to the affordable BlackBerry DTEK50 than the higher-end DTEK60.

We’ll have more news on BlackBerry’s new device closer to the launch.
