The new chief executive of luxury car manufacturer BMW has collapsed on stage at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.
Harald Kruger fainted as he was describing the Munich-based company’s latest models during a news conference.
The 49-year-old was helped to his feet by two assistants and escorted from the stage in front of a host of photographers and reporters.
Maximilian Schoberl, senior vice president of corporate affairs at BMW Group, said: “Harald Kruger experienced a moment of dizziness.
“As a result the press conference was cancelled in order that Mr Kruger could be examined by a doctor.
“Mr Kruger’s health is stable and he is recovering well.”
Mr Kruger took over as BMW’s chief executive in May.
