Lula da Silva, the 80-year old left-wing Brazilian president, defied the odds to be re-elected as the country’s president. This historic comeback defeat against Flávio Bolsonaro has caused jitters in the opposition camp rejecting the results.
Flávio Bolsonaro officially rejects results of presidential election against Lula da Silva stating:
“It is impossible to recognize the election results… we will use our legal team, we will request the annulment of these elections.”

Flávio Bolsonaro wants Brazil’s election annulled because, he claims, Lula “changed the rules halfway through the game” by extending voting hours.
Brazil’s Electoral Court projects incumbent Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva wins a historic fourth non-consecutive term as President of Brazil :
RESULTS: 99% IN
Lula – 64.1 million – 51.76%
Bolsonaro – 59.7 million – 48.24%
There has been jubilation all around Brazil and several congratulatory messages from social media to Lula da Silva pouring from several world leaders and politicians.
