British couple die in Thailand

A British couple have died while on holiday in Thailand, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has confirmed.

George and Eileen Everitt, from Boston in Lincolnshire, were in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, when they died on Saturday.

It is not yet known how they died and a spokeswoman for the FCO said an investigation into the couple’s deaths was under way.

She said: “We are in touch with the family and are helping them through this very difficult time.”
