Cabinet minister claims staying in the EU makes Britain vulnerable to attack

One of the cabinet ministers campaigning for Britain to leave the EU claims membership makes them more vulnerable to a Paris-style terror attack.

Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith has said the UK’s “open border” stops them controlling who comes into the country.

But that’s only one reason why he thinks they should leave: “We have the euro collapsing in front of us, we have Greece now almost again ready with the begging bowl to go out, we got banks in Italy looking like they are nearly bankrupt.

“Most of Europe is wallowing in recession at the moment, high youth unemployment, high unemployment.”
