David Cameron has accused Russia’s President Putin of making “a terrible mistake” in taking military action in Syria to support President Assad.
Earlier he told Britain he would be doubling the number of drones it operates to attack Islamic State targets.
But the British Defence Secretary Michael Fallon says there are no plans for Britain to launch airstrikes in Syria, just yet: “We’re building a consensus of support to strike harder at ISIL and when we’re sure of a consensus in parliament then we’ll take the issue to a vote there.”
