Against all the odds, going through a turbulent journey started in South Africa with xenophobia and bullying, Chidimma breaks the mould to become Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.
She became the 1st runner up in the 73rd Miss Universe 2024 competition which took place in Mexico in the early hours on Sunday. The Miss Universe 2024 was filled with glitz and glamour and the crown went to Miss Universe Denmark, Victoria Kjaer.

Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina has been forthright and resilient throughout the journey, experienced low periods and according to her story wanted to give up and Nigeria, her fatherland picked her up and lifted her all through this journey.
Despite the challenges, she showed the world what determination and unity can achieve. Her story is truly an inspiration to all Africans.
