James Franco and Nicole Kidman are set to play lovers on Broadway.
The 127 Hours star and the Oscar-winning beauty are to star in a revival of Tennessee Williams’ Sweet Bird Of Youth, and while negotiations are still under way, Deadline.com reports both stars are fully committed to the project.
Nicole will play Alexandra Del Lago, the ageing voracious movie star, while James will play her gigolo lover Chance Wayne.
The play, directed by David Cromer and produced by Scott Rudin, is due to open in the autumn.
Nicole, 43, last appeared on stage in 1998 in controversial play The Blue Room.
James, 32, will later this month become the first actor to ever host the Oscars at the same time as he is nominated for Best Actor for his performance in 127 Hours.
Nicole is also nominated this year for her performance in drama Rabbit Hole.
