Cavill going to play Anastasia Steele’s boss in the Fifty Shades Of Grey sequel? Well, he’s hinted it’s certainly a possibility by staying tight-lipped about the rumours.

The Man Of Steel star was previously linked to the role of Christian Grey in the first movie, before it went to Jamie Dornan.

Now Henry and Jamie could be battling it out for Dakota Johnson’s affections if he lands the role of her boss Jack Hyde in the follow-up, Fifty Shades Darker.

Henry was being interviewed by E! along with Armie Hammer for their new action movie The Man From U.N.C.L.E when he was asked if it was true he is to appear in the next Fifty Shades instalment.

The 32-year-old British actor replied with a smile: “Basically, what I can say is that I can’t say anything about it now.”

Jamie and Dakota are confirmed to return in the continuation of the raunchy love story, due out in 2017, as Christian and Anastasia, while novelist EL James is reportedly set to have more say in the screenplay adaptation than she did for the first film.

The project is currently seeking a director after Sam Taylor-Johnson announced she would not be returning to the helm of the franchise following creative disagreements with James over the first movie.

In the next book, Anastasia rejects Christian’s offer to work as an intern for his company after graduating and moves to Seattle to accept a job at a publishing house where she finds herself the object of unwanted attention from sexually obsessed boss Jack Hyde.

She struggles to keep Jack at arm’s length, whilst simultaneously coping with her relationship with S&M-loving billionaire Christian, who becomes so jealous of her boss that he buys the publishing house.

Film bosses have already revealed that the second movie will be darker, as the title suggests, and more like a thriller than a romance.
