Iran and six world powers have started negotiations about the country's nuclear programme

Iran and six world powers have started negotiations about the country’s nuclear programme with low expectations.

The two sides are at odds over what to talk about and tensions are high after the assassination of one of Tehran’s most prominent scientists.

The talks in Geneva – the first in more than a year – are being held at a conference centre near the Swiss permanent mission to the United Nations.

They are aimed at easing concerns over Iran’s nuclear agenda.
