James Nesbitt has revealed he is to undergo dwarf training for The Hobbit.
The Cold Feet star, who will play comical dwarf Bolfur in Peter Jackson’s Lord Of The Rings prequel, flies out to New Zealand in January to begin learning how to sword fight and ride a horse while wearing his giant hobbit feet.
James told The Sun: “We’re going for dwarf training for a month. It’s an adventure and I can’t wait for it. I’ve never done a massive film like it.”
The 45-year-old actor revealed he has already had his dwarf prosthetics fitted ahead of his training.
James will be travelling to the other side of the world with his wife Sonia and their two daughters.
He said: “It’s a once in a lifetime thing. Not just for me but for the family.”
