Freshly dumped Love Islanders Sam and Georgia agree that Gabby and Marcel will pull through their awkward lie detector drama – but are not convinced that their relationship is strong enough to win the show.
The pair shared their thoughts on the fate of their fellow islanders, who caused a stir on Tuesday when Gabby Allen’s lie detector test showed she did not “genuinely love” her TV sweetheart Marcel Somerville, after being booted off the show hours later.
Sam Gowland said: “I think they will pull through it because there are definitely feelings there between them, but I am more looking out for Marcel because he is one of my best mates.
“I don’t know what everybody else thinks but that’s just my opinion on the matter.”
But when it comes to the couple that deserves to win the ITV 2 show, Gowland tipped fiery on-off pair Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes.
“They are always arguing, but people can relate to it because outside this is what happens with couples and they are dead genuine,” he said.
“When I first went in I said they were never going to work, but I’ve been made to eat my words because they do work and I hope they win the competition.”

His new-found partner, Georgia Harrison, said: “I want Kem (Cetinay) and Amber (Davies) to win. They are so close and they do deserve it.”
But Gowland and Harrison now have their own romance to focus on to as they hoped to continue their relationship back in the UK, starting with a big night out in London.
Gowland said he would be taking Harrison for “food and drinks” in the capital, before she added: “I am going to show him the Essex lifestyle and see if he can handle it.”
Agreeing they would “see how it goes” after leaving the luxurious Majorcan villa, their departure on Wednesday came at just the right time for both parties.
Gowland, who was voted to return to the island after being evicted earlier in the series said he was “quite happy” to be leaving after successfully coupling up the second time around.
Meanwhile, Harrison, who was previously torn between her now partner and former islander Mike Thalassitis, said: “As much as I do like Mike, he doesn’t click with me anywhere near as much as Sam, or make me laugh like he does, so I’m definitely glad it turned out the way it did.”
But it is far from over for the full island crew, as they told how all the islanders planned to meet up in Newcastle to celebrate Gowland’s birthday next month.
Harrison added: “We might even go to Jonny’s (former islander Jonny Mitchell) villa in Bali,” but said she doubted that dumped pair Thalassatis and Tyla Carr would be receiving an invite.
