Madonna was reduced to tears during her concert in Stockholm over the weekend.
The Material Girl singer spoke of the “disturbing” feeling she had of dancing and having fun while hundreds of Parisian people are in mourning.
“It’s been very hard for me to get through this show, up to this point,” she announced to the Swedish crowd.
“Why am I up here dancing and having fun when people are crying over the loss of their loved ones?”
She then went on to say, as she wiped away the tears, that she almost cancelled the show after hearing about the attacks, but after a further thought she decided that she “didn’t want them to win”.
“Why should I give that to them? Why should I allow them to stop me?”
She then asked the crowd for a moment of silence, before she performed an extremely shaky and tearful ‘Like a Prayer’.
