Britain’s very own Joe Joyce was awarded silver in a close last match for Britain.
He grew up in Earlsfield, London, where he acquired a wide array of sporting skills. He went to Middlesex University and by then, he had already checked off the list rugby and capoeira untill taking a year studying abroad in Sacromento State University, US, where he got into cheerleading.
Almost forgot to mention he studied fine art.
The 30 year-old, starting boxing quite late at just age 22, faced France’s Victor James Yoka, 24, in a battle for heavy-weight champion.

Although many thought he had deserved the gold, it can still go down
At flyweight Russia’s Misha Aloian boxes Uzbekistan’s Shakhobidin Zoirov for the 52kgs gold medal.
On behalf of the London Glossy Team, Congratulations!
Joe Joyce did well and we are proud of him. Top Dog!
Joe did well, though james Yoka threw more punches but without a doubt, Joe did very well.
