Over 2,000 migrants have died crossing the Med


The number of people who have died trying to cross the Mediterranean this year has now passed 2,000.

The International Organisation for Migration says around 188,000 have been rescued, but warns that figure could pass 200,000 by the end of the week.

An aid worker claims people traffickers are making more money since security was stepped up in Calais.
