Snap Inc. and the BBC are working together to bring six exclusive episodes of nature documentary series Planet Earth II to Snapchat, as reported by The Verge.
The mobile episodes will follow the same format as the TV series – Islands, Mountains, Jungles, Deserts, Grasslands, and Cities – using exclusive footage not seen in the televised version.
The Snapchat episodes feature actress Sophie Okonedo on narration duties instead of Sir David Attenborough, and will use 3D audio.
Snapchat’s Planet Earth II debuts February 17 and each weekly episode is 4-6 minutes long.
