Natalie Portman has said she is “shocked and disgusted” by a video in which designer John Galliano says he loves Hitler.
The Oscar-winning actress, who advertises Christian Dior’s Miss Dior Cherie perfume, said she would not work with Galliano, who is the company’s creative director.
She said: “As an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr Galliano in any way.”
Galliano has been suspended from Dior pending an investigation into an alleged anti-Semitic incident in a Paris cafe last week.
Natalie made her remarks after a video posted online showed Galliano, in a different incident, drunkenly telling a cafe patron, “I love Hitler.”
She won the best actress Oscar on Sunday for Black Swan.
