Police in the United States are investigating actress Lindsay Lohan over the possible theft of jewellery that was returned after detectives obtained a search warrant.
A jewellery shop in the Venice area of Los Angeles, where Lohan now lives, reported a 2,500 US dollar (£1,500) piece missing on January 22, said police officer Bruce Borihanh.
He said a grand theft investigation was opened and officers obtained a search warrant for Lohan’s home.
The jewellery was handed over to detectives before the warrant was executed.
Lohan remains on probation for a 2007 drink-driving case.
Her lawyer was not available for comment.
