Holy Badam Kesar Drink
Feel the festive spirit with some an interesting drinks to let your hair down over this holiday season. The drinks are great for a Christmas party or to just to cosy up with near and dear ones with plenty of cheer!
Here is a cocktail recipe by Chai Break, Sector V to revel in the spirit. The drink drives its inspiration/originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, on this occasion presenting this citric mocktail for refreshing you.

Poisoned Apple

  • Apple juice 60 ml
  • Green apple chunks
  • Basil leaves 6-8
  • Aniseed 1 bar spoon
  • Green apple syrup 20 ml
  • Lemon juice 25 ml
  • Crowned with ginger ale
  • Method shaken
  • Served in hurricane

*Garnished with green apple slices and smoking cinnamon stick.

Almond Saffron Drink or Holy Badam Kesar Drink

Holy Badam Kesar Drink


  • Almonds blanched 100g
  • Black peppercorns 7g
  • Cashewnut 75g
  • Cinnamon 3g
  • Full Cream Milk 1500ml
  • Green cardamoms 7g
  • Melon seeds (magaz) 45g
  • Pistachios 50g
  • Poppy seeds 45g
  • Rose petals 10g
  • Saffron 7g
  • Sugar 200g


  • Grind together ( DRY) almonds, cashewnut, pistachios, melon seeds and poppy seeds with a little milk to a fine paste. Bring milk to a boil in a pan. Add saffron and mix.
  • When the milk begins to boil add sugar and simmer till the sugar melts.
  • Grind green cardamoms, dried rose petals, cinnamon and black peppercorns to a fine powder.
  • Add the paste to the milk and mix well. Simmer for three to four minutes. Add the powdered masala to the milk and mix well. Chill the milk and serve.Cheers to the Festive season!
