Rossum 'still close' to ex Duritz

Emmy Rossum has revealed she is still on good terms with ex-boyfriend Adam Duritz.

The couple split two months ago, but harbour no bad feelings towards one another.

“We’re still very close friends,” the 24-year-old actress told USA Today.

She first met the Counting Crows frontman, who is older than her by 22 years, on Twitter and they were soon spotted together around autumn 2009.

Emmy had split from her then-husband, music producer Justin Siegel, in August 2009.

But the actress – best known for her roles in The Phantom Of The Opera and The Day After Tomorrow – has other things to occupy her mind, such as her new TV series Shameless, the US adaptation of the hit British show.

“This is [the] happiest I’ve ever been in my whole life,” she said.

“Hollywood doesn’t provide you with tons of opportunities if you’re a woman. I choose to work on material that inspires me – where I feel like I can add something to world, even if just little bit.”
