Charlie Sheen has been joking about hearing internet rumours of his demise

Charlie Sheen has laughed off the rumours that he had died over the Christmas weekend.

The Two And A Half Men star was claimed to have died in a snowboarding accident following internet rumours, but is alive and well and able to see the funny side.

Charlie told The Insider: “When I heard on the news that I had died the other day, I quickly ran to my PC and checked the ratings for my show.

“Hmmm … that’s odd, all the numbers appeared solid. Perhaps even up a bit.

“You can only imagine my relief when I discovered shortly afterwards that they were referring to my actual literal death. That I can survive. I then quickly called my Mom.”

Charlie’s ex-wife Denise Richards took to Twitter earlier this week to deny the rumours of his death.

The actor is one of several stars who were falsely rumoured to be dead in internet reports over the holidays.

Others included Owen Wilson, Eddie Murphy, Aretha Franklin, Adam Sandler and former child star Aaron Carter, who were all confirmed to be alive.
