Sven-Goran Eriksson, Swedish football manager died on Monday at the age of 76. His agent, Bo Gustavsson gave Reuters the news that Eriksson had passed away on Monday morning.
The charismatic coach who led Swedish, Italian and Portuguese clubs to major trophies for two decades before taking on the England job in 2001, announced earlier this year that he was terminally ill with pancreatic cancer.
He led England to quarter-finals of 2002 and 2006 World Cup and at the 2004 European Championship managing top players that included David Beckham, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard.
