St Pancras launches summer of food with UK’s first Truffle Burger
Great British Train Fare season celebrates UK food culture with events, tastings and offers.

To celebrate the launch of Great British Train Fare, St Pancras International has partnered with Prime Burger to offer visitors 100 free gourmet burgers* – including the UK’s first ever truffle burger – every lunchtime during opening week (Monday 29th June – Friday 3rd July 2015).

This ten week festival of food will champion European towns and cities that have left their mark on British culinary culture. From Brighton Pavilion’s Grand Kitchen to Sheffield’s pivotal role in manufacturing cutlery, visitors to St Pancras can sample exclusive tastings by heading to the picnic benches in the central arcade or access amazing food and drink offers through the St.P London app throughout summer.

Opening week vouchers will be distributed in the station and are available online in the lead up to the Great British Train Fare launch on 29th June. Each day between 13.00 and 14.00 the first 100 lucky customers through the doors of Prime Burger (formerly Fine Burger Co.) with a voucher will receive a delicious gourmet burger on the house.

Available exclusively at St Pancras International, Prime Burger’s brand new menu boasts the UK’s first truffle burger – a mouth-watering combination of 100 per cent British beef and Tomme de Savoie cheese that is matured and infused with French black truffle and topped with a summer truffle alioli. Prime Burger will also be offering tastings of their gourmet burgers on the station’s picnic benches.

Location: St Pancras International Station
Euston Road

Wendy Spinks, Commercial Director of HS1 Ltd (owner of St Pancras International), said: “Whether it’s grabbing breakfast on the run, a taste of something different to liven up lunch, or celebrating a special occasion, St Pancras caters for all. Our Great British Train Fare season extends this offering even further by demonstrating just how much the British food industry can thrive with the help of these kind of initiatives.”

Robert Tame, Managing Director of Prime Burger, said: “Prime Burger’s debut menu is the product of years of hard work and experience in the industry. We are militant about ensuring all our beef comes from British farms and is hand reared, grass fed and fully traceable. We’re particularly proud of our new Truffle Burger, created with tangy red onions and creamy aioli and served up in under 8 minutes. Londoners are a busy bunch, but they shouldn’t have to compromise on quality for speed of service.”
