Britney's legal action over claims

Britney Spears is to launch legal action over claims about her relationship

Britney Spears’ representatives have vehemently condemned a report about her relationship with agent-turned-boyfriend Jason Trawick as “completely and utterly false”.

A statement on the singer’s website denied the claims, saying: “Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney. “

According to the US report, Britney told Jason Alexander, who was married to the star for 55 hours in 2004, that Trawick ill-treated her.

But Britney’s website said: “The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr Alexander in years.”

It added that an alleged audio recording posted on a website “purporting to be between Britney Spears and Jason Alexander is so obviously fake as to be laughable. Suffice it to say, that Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney.”

The statement said the report was published “without regard to the truth” and added: “These irresponsible statements are defamatory and Britney Spears’ legal team will be taking legal action against all of the appropriate parties.”
