Former US President Donald Trump shuts down blog page, one month after launch on Wednesday after being banned from most of the main social media platforms.
After being banned from majority of the social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, it was rumoured that the former US Republican President would be launching his own social media platform and millions of his followers waited eagerly for this. The blog page titled “From The Desk of Donald J Trump” posts President Trump’s latest posts as a one way means of communicating that cannot be liked or shared to other social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter.
President Trump used Twitter frequently for most of his updates and had one the largest Twitter followers of 88 million. Twitter has confirmed that he remains permanently banned while Facebook took the same stand after having a separate independent oversight board review.
According to his aide Jason Miller, the page will not be returning.
