As France brought on Lassana Diarra as a substitute during the friendly at Wembley, he received a standing ovation from both sets of fans.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder lost his cousin, Asta Diakite, in the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday. She was shot on Rue Bichat in the 10th arrondissement of the capital.
And everyone has a lot of respect for Diarra choosing to play, in what was already an emotional and poignant football match.
