The Louvre museum in Paris has been closed after a robbery, France’s culture minister has said.
Rachida Dati wrote on X: “A robbery took place this morning at the opening of the Louvre museum.”
The Louvre said it would close “for exceptional reasons”, offering no further details.
No injuries were reported.
Ms Dati said she was on site and that an investigation was under way.
