This year has been a very tragic year for children from different parts of war-torn countries according to several reports. What makes this year exceptional is the high numbers of child refugees from war torn countries like Syria and Iraq where children that have lost their parents are fleeing for their own safety barefooted and with barely any clothing on.

To make matters worse, World Food Programme has just announced that they have suspended the food voucher scheme to refugees. One cannot imagine the devastation lack of food in refugee camps will cause especially with a prediction of very harsh upcoming winter months.

The DEBBY Footwear team will be reaching out during this cold December 2014 to refugee children who are facing starvation and the painful effects of being alone having lost their parents to the various bombings in their countries. The DEBBY pledge is to provide food packs, blankets, soft toys and shoes for these brave children.
