Danny Trejo has confirmed he will be joining Ricky Gervais in the new Muppets movie.
The film, co-written by Jason Segel, has been assembling a star-studded cast which includes the Machete star and Ricky alongside Amy Adams, Jack Black and Emily Blunt.
“I am in The Muppets, isn’t that cool?” the Mexican-American actor revealed in Hollywood.
Speaking as he promoted his new film Death Race 2, Danny confirmed he’s signed on for a cameo in the film, which is also said to have a role for Lady Gaga.
“I want to play one of the Grumpy Old Men!” he laughed.
“I want be like ‘Shut up!’ – one of those guys sat up in the balcony,” he joked.
The 66-year-old said he hasn’t been told what the story will involve but that he’s always been a fan.
“I thought they were amazing, man,” he insisted.
The actor currently stars alongside British actors Luke Goss and Sean Bean in Death Race 2.
