Uma Thurman's stalker has asked a judge to rethink new charges

Uma Thurman’s stalker has asked a judge to reduce new charges that he flouted a court order by trying to contact the actress again.

Jack Jordan’s lawyers said he shouldn’t be facing felony criminal contempt charges because he’s not accused of threatening the Pulp Fiction star – just of trying to talk to her and bemoaning her relationship with a Swiss financier.

A judge has yet to decide on the matter and in the meantime the former psychiatric patient – who has pleaded not guilty to charges including stalking – remains jailed on a 250,000 dollar cash bail or 500,000 dollar bond.

The 39-year-old was convicted in 2008 of stalking and harassing the Kill Bill star. He was sentenced to three years’ probation and told not to try to contact Uma for five years.

But authorities said he called her office and her assistant’s phone in October, asking to speak to the actress and adding that boyfriend Arpad Busson “does not belong with” her, according to court papers.

Jordan was arrested in November at his family’s home, where police said they found him sitting in front of a computer with Uma’s name in a Google search box.

He told police the calls were a drunken mistake, prosecutors said.
