Jon Voight says he hopes his daughter Angelina Jolie will join him soon on a visit to Israel.
A long-time supporter of the Jewish state, the actor is visiting the country with likely US presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
The Academy Award-winning actor, who was estranged from Angelina for years, said his celebrity daughter was well aware of his “affection for Israel and the Jewish people,” but that he doesn’t know where she stands on the nation.
Jon revealed he would “love to see” UN goodwill ambassador Angelina at his side “coming on a visit to Israel”.
He added: “That would be a nice thing before I go.”
The 72-year-old has starred in such movies as Midnight Cowboy, Deliverance and Coming Home.
