Emma Watson is worried her fortune will scare off potential boyfriends.
The 20-year-old Harry Potter star – who is estimated to have earned over £20 million from the hit film franchise according to the Sunday Times Rich List – told the Telegraph Weekend magazine she fears men will be intimidated by her wealth.
Emma said: “I hope it doesn’t complicate relationships for me. I think it can make guys quite uncomfortable. I do have to be sensitive.”
She admitted that her money “can make guys quite uncomfortable”.
The actress, who is now a student at Brown University in Rhode Island, doesn’t want to stand out among her peers by “trotting around college” with expensive accessories such as a “£1,000 handbag”.
Emma revealed earlier this month she had been in love once but wouldn’t name the man because “it wouldn’t be fair to any others”.
She said: “I want a man to like me for me – I want him to be authentic.”
It is reported her move to study in America lead to the end of her two-year relationship with Jay Barrymore, a financier.
She has since been linked to Spanish musician Rafael Cebrian.
