Willie Garson reckons SATC's success is all about the love

Willie Garson, aka Carrie’s gay best friend Stanford Blatch in Sex And The City has revealed he would love to make a third big screen instalment in the series.

Speaking at the launch party for SATC2 on DVD at London’s Swarovski Crystallized Lounge, surrounded by jewellery from the film, he said the cast all get on so well it would be great to get back on set with the girls.

Asked about the possibility of SATC3 Willie said: “The actors are the last people to be told, but if there is one I would definitely do it.

“I see the girls all the time and I speak to Sarah Jessica Parker every day.”

His comments come just weeks after co-star Kristin Davis, who plays uptight brunette Charlotte, said she and the other girls were also keen to make another movie.

And sentimental Willie believes the success of Sex And The City is not down to the fashion and glamour, but the romance in the stories.

He said: “People think it’s all about the shoes and the dresses, but it’s just about love. That is why it has been so successful.

“HBO was really small when we started the first season, but by the second one it went huge.”

The 46-year-old actor was enjoying partying in London, revealing: “I used to work at a bar on Kings Road, Chelsea. I love being in London.”
